Last week on Friday, I went to Alesce launch party. The sun was shinning bright, me and my two best friend walked from the MRT station to Amber amber ( its a restaurant near Serangoon, they also had a really good pizza!)
Alesce is a local magazine and it is a place for women to come together as a community, they gathering inspiring women to share their experiences. When we reached the place, it was so packed, and suddenly i got chill because I saw a strong and inspirational women as one. Once I have heard a quotes “It’s not easy,
but it’s not impossible” ( The quote is by Rebellious Tiny, one of my favourite podcast artist!) and these women just show it to me that they can create a such event.
I love event. especially with the the local businesses, I feel that local business shows what is the trend this month. (Somehow it is like WGSN in life version).
Before I went inside, I need to pay $30 for a cute tote bag, a magazine, and stickers. I also can go inside for free, and if you don’t want to pay that much you can just pay $15 just for free pizza and looking around.
“What’s so good about this event Tha?”
Hmmm, First I feel that this event help me to see how alive is the local business, Second I can see the real connection between the local business. Third it helps me with my research for business plan! it gives me a lot of idea!.
I think one of the interesting local brand is called double chin, it is a earring brand. Collaborating with her mom and sister. Her mom create the earrings, her sister create the drawing, and she create the marketing. So simple yet they have strong connection. Next thing I have learned to do water colour, I need to tell you that Im so bad with drawings but this small workshop really help me to boost my confident. Somehow I have proven myself that I can do it too!
My point is everyday you WILL learn about something, just believe in the process.
