Hi guys, Unapologetic girl is back!!!
For this Self development blog, I will share to you about my experiences as a leader of the production team in Fashion Revolution Week 2019.
If you don’t know, production team is responsible for all the things that happen on the pre show, D-day, and after show. Basically our job is to make sure that everything is on their place and working smoothly.
The project started on 11 March 2019, with created a list and scheduling. This Fashion Revolution Week concept is mainly about promoting sustainable fashion.

So, is it hard to be a leader?
The answer is YES!. Why? because everything that your team do it will go through to you. Everyone will saw you first, and you need to take the full responsibility if anything happens.
Are you happy when you get chosen as the leader.
Am I? Yes I am, because Im that kind of person who get bored easily and I feel that by taking this opportunity I can challenge myself. I’ve work in fashion show before, it was a fashion show with 360 degree camera and it was hard, there are a lots of drama. Back then I have a problem with patient. I hate when someone being too slow, and doesn’t really pay attention of their work. It makes me so frustrate, emotional, and angry.
Do you think Leadership is your strength?
Yes, I think so, because through this project I can see myself as someone who’s really understandable and really good with communication.
Do you have any funny experiences during this project?
Yes I do, as you know if anything happen I need to take full responsibility of it. So the day before the fitting day we got news that one of our male model can’t make it to the fashion show.
Of course we were freaking out!!
We don’t really have a lots of male friends in school, so we decided to find them in Instagram. We become a creepy girl who stalk boys and slide through their DM -,-
and sadly we can’t find anyone who’s available.
but you know, universe always find its way. The day before the fitting day, I went home pretty late and on my way home I saw a guy, he’s around 180cm and without thinking any further I just smile at him and ask him to become my model. LIKE!!! DUH!!!
SO EMBARASSING!!!
What you learn from this fashion show?
From this beginning of this project, Im telling myself to not to have any expectations. Why? I feel that when I have any expectation, I will underestimate and feel that anything will be “perfect” anyway. I learn to just accept that everything is not perfect, if I have problems leading this project, lets be it. Just enjoy and do the project with whatever it takes.
I’ve been working on my emotional state, become a leader is not easy. You need to put your personal emotion aside and working with a lot of people. Whether you’re sick, not feeling well or whatsoever you still need to work 100% and professional.
Three main things that I learnt from this fashion show, Patience, Listen, and communicate. Something bad its gonna be happen, so be patience take a deep breath, see the problem, thing clearly and find the solution. When someone explain, complain, or angry to you, Listen take that filter that and put it in your mind to make sure next time you didn't do the same mistake. Communicate, whether you hate that person, or whatsoever saying “Hi” and smile is not hard, create a connection between the people and they will help you to reach the goals.
Can you see yourself in this working field?
Yes, I can, definitely. It something that keeping me alive. Something that I am passionate, and I can’t live without it.
I guess I already find my future career. So here's the end of this blog I see you on the next blog!!!!
